Foremost activist and co-founder of the Bring Back Our Girls Movement, Aisha Yesufu, has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari over his handling of the recent spate of killings in Nigeria’s Zamfara State.

The police in Zamfara, Sunday, confirmed that 17 people in in Magami Village, Faru District of Maradun local government area were killed in an attack by armed bandits on a community in the state.

Aisha in a minute and 43 seconds video recording made available to our correspondent accused the President of playing the ostrich and doing too little to curtail the senseless killings going on in some parts of the country.

Questioning the rationale for replacing President Goodluck Jonathan with the incumbent, the fiery activist said the same missteps of the immediate past President are today being replicated by the All Progressives Congress, APC-led administration.

However, President Buhari, Monday, expressed sorrow over the loss of lives following attacks on communities in Zamfara State by bandits and cattle rustlers, assuring that the federal government would do everything in its powers to bring to an end the horrendous attacks.

In a Twitter handle, Garba Shehu, his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, wrote “He also commiserated with him on the kidnapping of his other followers in Zamfara State.\

“The President gave assurances that the law enforcement agencies will make the best efforts to free the kidnapped followers of the Sheik.”
