    Akwa Ibom CP decorated as Assistant Inspector General of Police

    Akwa Ibom Commissioner of Police, Andrew Amiengheme, fdc, recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) has been decorated.

    Inspector General of Police, IGP Alkali Baba Usman, psc+, NPM, fdc, assisted by Joyce, wife of Amiengheme, decorated the newly promoted AIG on Wednesday, June 1, 2022.

    Usman charged the AIG and other Senior Officers to be more loyal and dedicated to their duties and to serve with professionalism as they assume higher responsibilities.

    A press release by SP Odiko MacDon, Akwa Ibom Police Public Relations Officer on Friday, said ”The Niger Delta trail blazer has been an amazing security stabilizer since his assumption of duty as the 30th Commissioner of Police in the State.

    ”An enigmatic Fellow of the Defence College (fdc) who has worked assiduously in collaboration with the Government, sister Security Agencies and the good people of the State to enhance peace and tranquility in the State was decorated by the IGP.”

    According to him, ”the widely travelled and internationally exposed AIG Amiengheme thanked the Almighty God, the IGP, the Police Service Commission (PSC), the Government and good people of the State and dedicated his elevation to Almighty God and the good people of Akwa Ibom State.

    ”He remained indelibly grateful and happy with the superlative performance of the Officers and Men of the Command.

    ”However, the Command has continued to make significant strides in making the State remain one of the most peaceful States in the Country.’’
