Names of six new members to help in rejigging the State Executive Council are before the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly.
The Commissioners and Special Advisers-designate are Bassey Okon from Itu; Offiong Samuel Offor, Ini; Aniefiok Isaac Nkom, Ikot Ekpene; Iniobong Edward Ekong, Nsit Ubium; Bob Emem, Onna; and Engr Camillus Umoh from Essien Udim.
This is as four Commissioners in Akwa Ibom State are suspected to join the queue of those to be sent packing.

These are Rt. Hon. Okpolupum Ette, Commissioner for Special Duties; Pastor Umo Eno, Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources; Dr. Glory Edet, Commissioner for Agriculture and Prince Ukpong Akpabio, Commissioner for Industry and Investment.
Already, Akan Okon, Commissioner for Economic Development and Ibom Deep Seaport and Pastor Sunny Ibuot, Commissioner for Manpower and Labour resigned their appointments last week.
Earlier, Mrs Mandu Umore, clerk of the house, had during the plenary on the floor of the Assembly read the letter dated March18 sent in by the State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel.
The Speaker of the house, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey, had forwarded the letter to the Committee on Judiciary and Public Petition to report back to the House in 24 hours.
Recall that the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong had after the State Executive Council meeting last week announced that new Commissioners have been sent to house for confirmation.
“The Chairman-in-Council (Mr Emmanuel) announced that the executive council will be reshuffled and that five Commissioners will be eased out. Consequently, names have been forwarded to the House of Assembly for screening and clearance,” Mr Ememobong said.
