Federal Government, states, and local government councils in the country got N906.955 billion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) as the October 2023 Federal allocation. According to a communiqué issued by FAAC at its November 2023 meeting, the N906.955 billion distributable revenue comprised: N305.070 billion statutory revenue; N323.446 billion Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue; N15.552 billion Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue; N202.887 billion Exchange Difference revenue and N60.000 billion augmentation Total revenue of N1,346.519 billion was available in October 2023. Contrary to the prevailing market prices, Akwa Ibom State budget estimate of N845.632 billion for the 2024 Financial Year has experienced a slight decrease compared to N850 billion budgeted for 2023. The total estimate for the 2023 financial year comprised Recurrent Expenditure of ₦394.315 billion and the Capital votes of ₦455.685 billion.
