A 65-year-old convict-turned police informant in Uyo local government area of Akwa Ibom State has been slain by unknown gunmen suspected to be cult members. As Nigeria joins the world in marking this year’s World Malaria Day, the country has secured $300 million from World Bank, Islamic Development Bank and African Development Bank to help finance its national malaria strategy.
