Rivers State topped followed by Lagos in the maiden edition of its fiscal performance ranking for states, BudgIT, a civic-tech organisation, says. The organisation, in its report launched on Tuesday, entitled: ‘Moving Healthcare Delivery from Suboptimal to Optimal,’ used five different metrics for ranking all 36 states. Akwa Ibom State occupies 27th position in the fiscal performance ranking. Public servants in Akwa Ibom State have jointly appealed to Governor Umo Eno to begin implementation the N80,000 new Minimum Wage from September 2024.
