Rivers State High Court judge, Eberechi Wike, has advocated the amputation of people found guilty of defiling minors. Justice Wike, who is the wife of the immediate past Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, stated this on Tuesday on the sidelines of the 2nd National Conference of Family Court Judges, Magistrates, and other Family Court Practitioners in Port Harcourt, the state capital. A Nigerian Senator, Abdul Ningi, has indicted Federal Ministry of Works, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and state governments for delay in the construction and completion of the lingering East-West Road cutting across five states. The Supreme Court has reserved judgment in the appeal by Atiku Abubakar and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court which affirmed the victory of President Bola Tinubu in the February 25 presidential election. President Bola Tinubu and Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi,  Monday hailed United Kingdom’s Court judgment awarding a landmark victory to the Federal Government of Nigeria over a firm known as Process & Industrial Development (P&ID) Limited. The Commercial Courts of England and Wales Monday ruled in favour of Nigeria in the enforcement of a $11bn arbitration award against Process & Industrial Developments (P&ID) Limited. With the judgement handed down physically in open court, and electronically by email to the parties on Monday, Nigeria has succeeded in stopping the enforcement of the award which was initially in favour of P&ID. A Nigerian woman from Nnewi in Anambra State reportedly delivered nine children (nonuplets) in Cameroon recently without any operation. Lady Anthonia Madu Obianuju, the mother, described the set of nonuplets comprising six girls and three boys as remarkable and unforeseen considering that the ultrasound predicted twins prior to delivery. Multiple accidents Sunday occurred at Kara Bridge also known as Odo Ogun Bridge along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway claiming lives of four occupants of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, a Mazda Inter-State bus.
