A total of 110 students of Government Girls Technical School, Dapchi, Yobe State, were missing, the Federal Government Saturday confirmed. Government’s confirmation came barely 24 hours after parents of the missing students gave a figure of 105. Boko Haram insurgents had attacked the school last Monday night, taking away some of the students, whose number had now been confirmed to be 110. Following squabble over the children’s paternity, a 48-year-old man at 21b Ntueke Street, Awada Obosi in Idemili North local government area of Anambra State, weekend went berserk, killing his four children and his sister-in-law before taking his own life. Akwa Ibom State got the highest share of N143.6 billion in 2017, showing an increase of 25 per cent from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) disbursements, the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, NEITI, stated.
