Indigenous Tiv communities in Nasarawa State have raised the alarm that their people in Kadarko, Keana local government area of the state were under siege as 25 villages of the area have been sacked by the herdsmen. Plans have been concluded to float a mega Independent Power Plant (IPP) in Akwa Ibom State in September this year. Not fewer than 50 people in Mpoza village outside Tsolo in the Eastern Cape Province, South Africa have been hospitalised after eating a cow that reportedly died of a snake bite. The province’s department of health spokesperson, Sizwe Kupelo, said the patients confirmed they had eaten the meat from the carcass of an animal that had died after being bitten by a snake.
