The Cross River Police Command has arrested a 54-year-old man for allegedly beating his girlfriend to death in Calabar South Local Government Area of the state. Nigeria’s annual inflation rate rose from 22.41 per cent in May to 22.79 per cent in June, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) announced Monday. NBS said the June inflation rate showed an increase of 0.38 per cent points compared to May 2023 headline inflation rate.
