The President of the Nigerian Senate, Godswill Akpabio has sought joint efforts of governments and non-governmental organizations against polarization along political, ethnic, gender, religious, or racial lines for global peace. In October 2023, a former president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Amaju Pinnick, called out Davido for not fulfilling his performance obligations at an event in Warri, Delta State, despite receiving $94,600.
