The Court of Appeal, Abuja, Friday, set aside the tribunal judgment that nullified the election of Ademola Adeleke as Osun State governor. The appellate court, in a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of justices, held that the appeal lodged by Adeleke to challenge his sack by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal was meritorious. After five days of controversy, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidate, Barr. Peter Mbah has been declared winner of the governorship election in Enugu State. Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has directed public sector workers in the country to embark on industrial strike from Wednesday next week. The directive followed an earlier ultimatum issued by the Central Working Committee members of the NLC last week criticising the cash swap policy and fuel crisis of the Federal Government.
