Abia State Ministry of Education has shut Emerald Schools at Crystal Park Avenue, off Port Harcourt Road in Aba South LGA, and withdrew their operational licence. The ministry, in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche-Eme-Uche in Umuahia, on Tuesday, said that the sealing of the educational facility was a result of the ministry’s findings. The Confederation of African Football, Wednesday, named Nigeria’s forward, Victor Osimhen; Egypt’s Mohamed Salah, and 28 others as contenders for the 2023 men’s African Player of the Year awards. Nationwide strike looms over the purported arrest and ‘disappearance’ of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Comrade Joe Ajaero in Imo State.
