Abia State Ministry of Education has shut Emerald Schools at Crystal Park Avenue, off Port Harcourt Road in Aba South LGA, and withdrew their operational licence. The ministry, in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Professor Uche-Eme-Uche in Umuahia, on Tuesday, said that the sealing of the educational facility was a result of the ministry’s findings. Nationwide strike looms over the purported arrest and ‘disappearance’ of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) President, Comrade Joe Ajaero in Imo State.
