In a landmark judgment, the Federal High Court in Lagos, has ordered the Delta State Government disclose how ex-Governor Ifeanyi Okowa spent more than N200 billion on education funds and allocations. Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has given Nigerien military Junta a seven-day ultimatum to reinstate ousted President Muhammed Bazoum into office or face measures including force. This followed an extraordinary meeting of leaders of ECOWAS member-states at the State House, Abuja, to discuss the happenings in Niger Republic. An Ondo State High Court in Akure, the state capital, has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for defiling his neighbour’s six-year-old daughter. Joseph Agbomu was arrested by men of the state police command after committing the act in Ijebu-Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state. The 37-year-old farmer who was later charged to court in March 2019, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
