Straightnews learned that the redesign of N200, N500, and N1,000 denominations of the country’s currencies was announced by the Central Bank of Nigeria. More than 146 people were killed Saturday and some 150 were injured in a horrific stampede in central Seoul when a large crowd celebrating Halloween crammed into a narrow street, officials said. Akwa Ibom High Court in Uyo, Friday, sentenced one Menim Udoaya to death by hanging or by lethal injection for killing his kinsman in Use Ikot Amama, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of the state. Blood of a widow brutally murdered in Ndon Owong community of Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State, over witchcraft allegations is crying for justice in a foreign land. Mrs. Iquo Edet Eyo, a widow, who lost her husband in 2021, was among the three women and two men tied, tortured, and murdered after being accused of being responsible for evil happenings in Ndon Owong by Chiefs and youths in the community.
