The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in Uyo on Thursday struck out a petition brought by the Akwa Ibom State Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Akanimo Udofia. Udofia had challenged the election of Pastor Umo Eno of the Peoples Democratic Party as winner of the March 18, 2023 governorship elections. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has arrested four suspects engaged in adulterated Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and impounded their two trucks loaded with 75, 000 litres of adulterated AGO. The NSCDC Commandant in Akwa Ibom, Mr Eluyemi Eluwade, said the four suspects were arrested on Monday at a filling station along Abak Road in Uyo Metropolis while trying to blend two products to make an Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
