A mother of three has reportedly fled after killing her 65-year-old husband, Felix Solomon, with a pestle in Ondo State. A state-owned newspaper reported that Mrs Tayelolu Solomon, committed the crime at GRA in Ondo town at the weekend. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has arrested four suspects engaged in adulterated Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and impounded their two trucks loaded with 75, 000 litres of adulterated AGO. The NSCDC Commandant in Akwa Ibom, Mr Eluyemi Eluwade, said the four suspects were arrested on Monday at a filling station along Abak Road in Uyo Metropolis while trying to blend two products to make an Automotive Gas Oil (AGO). Aniefiok Christopher Angry Akwa Ibom women earlier Tuesday blocked the entrance of the State House of Assembly in protest against the speedy implementation of the amended Traditional Rulers Law recently passed by the House and assented to by Governor Umo Eno. The Nigerian Senate has confirmed the appointment of Yemi Cardoso as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and four others as deputy governors of the apex bank. Their appointment was confirmed after their screening by the upper legislative body Tuesday, September 26.
