Suspected kidnappers of two founders of private secondary schools in Ukanafun Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom are cooling their feet in the police cell. Ousted Gabonese President Ali Bongo has begged for intervention after the military overthrew him. A group of Gabonese military officers appeared on television Wednesday announcing they were “putting an end to the current regime” and cancelling an election that, according to official results, President Ali Bongo Ondimba won. Flooding looms in nine Nigerian states as Cameroon is planning to open her Lagdo Dam, National Emergency Management Authority (NEMA) has been alerted. The states are Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi, Anambra, Edo, Delta and Bayelsa States.
