After a series of meetings that ended in deadlock, the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has decided to extend its ongoing strike indefinitely. The decision was taken after the National Executive Council meeting at the union’s headquarters at the University of Abuja on Monday morning. Nigeria and Cameroon have agreed to return to the International Court of Justice’s (ICJ) for clarification of some grey areas in its judgment on the dispute between both countries over the ownership of the Bakassi Peninsula. The ICJ, in a judgment on October 10, 2002 upheld Cameroon’s claim to the area. Pope Francis on Saturday inducted Nigeria’s Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Anambra State, Peter Ebere Okpaleke and 19 others from across the world as Cardinals in the Catholic Church. After staying in detention for some months, Ukamaka Ejezie popularly called Mama Biafra walked out of the custody of Directorate of State Security (DSS), on Sunday. The Nigerian Police Force Friday suspended two Supernumerary Police Officers for displaying their bodies as slay queens in a viral Tiktok video.
