The Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Godwin Emefiele, who collected the All Progressives Congress nomination forms, has come under fire to resign following his decision to run for president of Nigeria in 2023. American billionaire Todd Boehly has taken over Chelsea Football Club after completing his £4.25 billion agreement with the club management. Chelsea have confirmed reaching terms with him for the takeover of the club. Russian billionaire, Roman Abramovich put the club up for sale before the UK Government sanctioned him in March following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and his close relationship with Russian President, Vladimir Putin. The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, says he is worried about the survival of Nigeria owing to a myriad of challenges confronting the country.
