Senator Godswill Akpabio has criticised some leaders of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State for working secretly against the success of the party. Akpabio, who is the National Vice Chairman of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, said those leaders whom he described as “Abuja politicians” shout Tinubu in the day and Atiku in the night. The Nigerian Army (NA) has announced a major shake up of senior officers for administrative and operational efficiency. Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director of Army Public Relations, issued a statement on Saturday. Two more protesters in Iran were hung Saturday after allegedly killing a paramilitary during nationwide protests triggered by the death of Mahsa Amini in September. Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has sealed 13 fuel stations for over-pricing in Akwa Ibom State. Mr Joy Koro, the Team Leader, Distribution Systems Storage and Retailing Infrastructure of NMDPRA, who said this during a monitoring and surveillance exercise in Uyo on Friday, noted that the authority also sanctioned three others for violating government seal order. Thousands of mourners gathered in St Peter’s Square on Thursday to pay their final respects to Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI as he was laid to rest. After eight-month suspension, the Spiritual Director, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, returned to Anambra State to to cheery worshippers and admirers. Following his suspension by the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, Mbaka had proceeded to the monastery.
