Akwa Ibom High Court in Uyo, Friday, sentenced one Menim Udoaya to death by hanging or by lethal injection for killing his kinsman in Use Ikot Amama, Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of the state. Blood of a widow brutally murdered in Ndon Owong community of Odukpani Local Government Area of Cross River State, over witchcraft allegations is crying for justice in a foreign land. Mrs. Iquo Edet Eyo, a widow, who lost her husband in 2021, was among the three women and two men tied, tortured, and murdered after being accused of being responsible for evil happenings in Ndon Owong by Chiefs and youths in the community. The Federal, state, and local governments have shared N760.235 billion allocations for September this year. The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) announced this on Thursday, October 27, in a communiqué issued after its meeting for October 2022. The management of Rivers State University (RSU), Port Harcourt has banned all forms of ‘indecent dressing’ by both male female students on its campus with immediate effect.
