The Nigeria’ Flamingos have defeated Germany to clinch bronze medal in the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup in India. After narrowly missing out a place to Colombia in the final match, the Flamingos on Sunday soared to a 3-2 penalty shootout victory over Germany. Suspected gunmen have killed a police officer and collected his service rifle in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.  The slain officer, identified as Sergeant Peter Ikwen, was shot dead in Edgerton Street, Calabar on Saturday, October 29, 2022.
