Four persons have been confirmed dead as a result of the church building that collapsed in Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State. The collapsed building housing Salvation Ministries caved in during Tuesday’s evening service, trapping worshippers including children. After seven months, the Federal Government has lifted the ban on microblogging site, Twitter, after it suspended the social media platform in Nigeria. The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has kicked against the bill seeking to outlaw strike in the health sector in the country. The bill seeking to amend the Trade Disputes Act is sponsored by a member of the House of Representatives, Simon Chukwuemeka Atigwe (PDP, Enugu). It has scaled first reading in the House. A 58-year-old Pakistani Protestant Pastor, Zafar Bhatti has been sentenced to death for blasphemy against Islam, Anglican Ink reported. Zafar was handed the sentence by a district court in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. The Pastor who has been in prison since 2012, was accused of sending a blasphemous SMS text messages. Chief Ernest Shonekan, the former head of the Interim National Government who succeeded General Ibrahim Babangida, died in Tuesday in Lagos Hospital. Aged 85, Shonekan was the interim head of the Nigerian government between August 26 and November 17, 1993, before he was ousted in a coup led by late General Sani Abacha.
