The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Kennedy Ibeh, has sacked the member representing Ngor Okpala State Constituency, Tochi Okere. At a plenary on Thursday, Ibeh said he sacked the Ngor Okpala representative in line with the House Rules and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This is as the Speaker has also suspended three lawmakers for what he called dereliction of duty. The Nigerian Navy Board and the Nigerian Air Force Council have promoted a total of 116 senior officers. This was after a meeting on Tuesday night which was presided over by the Minister of Defence, Maj.-Gen. Bashir Magashi (retd.). A total of 56 of the senior officers are from the Nigerian Navy.
