The Rivers State Government has been ordered to reinstate 217 sacked workers of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic in Bori, Khana Local Government Area of the state. The presiding judge of the National Industrial Court in Port Harcourt, Justice Polycarp Hamman, gave the order said the state government did not follow due process in the sacking of the affected staffers. The slain clergyman, Shuaibu Yohanna, was buried in his hometown, Gingi in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State on Thursday, September 30. The opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has zoned its National Chairman position to the North. Chairman of the Zoning Committee and Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi made the announcement on Thursday, September 30.
