Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted the councillor representing Ward 6 Central in Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. Spokesperson of the State Police Command, Mr. Odiko Macdon, who confirmed the abduction on Tuesday, September 28, said investigation is ongoing in the abduction of Samuel Ben. Police authorities in Anambra State have vowed to arrest suspected cultists who killed a member of a rival group and used his head to play soccer. The incident happened on premises suspected to be a residence of students of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in Igbariam, Anambra State.
