A Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, Friday, remanded a dismissed Police officer, in prison custody for allegedly murdering a teenager at her home. Chief Magistrate Mrs Adeola Adedayo remanded the 30-year-old dismissed officer, Sergeant Samuel Philips pending the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP. The Nigerian Army has described as ”act of gross misconduct’’ assault of a corps member by one of its officers who was caught in a now-viral video. Unknown gunmen have killed two policemen at a checkpoint at Nachi community in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, Wednesday, September 22. The gunmen attacked the officers at about 9 a.m., leaving three other officers with serious injuries.
