The value of Bitcoin has slumped after China’s Central Bank on Friday, September 24 declared all transactions of crypto-currencies as illegal, dramatically banning such digital tokens as Bitcoin and ethereum in the country. Nigeria’s Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has enjoined International Oil Companies (IOCs) in Akwa Ibom to relocate their head offices from elsewhere in the country to Uyo, the state capital. A Yaba Chief Magistrate Court, Friday, remanded a dismissed Police officer, in prison custody for allegedly murdering a teenager at her home. Chief Magistrate Mrs Adeola Adedayo remanded the 30-year-old dismissed officer, Sergeant Samuel Philips pending the legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution, DPP. The federal, states and local governments have shared a total of N696.965 billion as revenue for August 2021. This was contained in a communiqué issued at the end of the virtual meeting of the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) for September 2021 The N696.965 billion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N477.504 billon; distributable Value Added Tax revenue of N166.228 billion, Exchange Gain of N2.830 billion, Excess Bank Charges Recovered of N0.403 billion and N50 billion from Non-Oil revenue. The Nigerian Army has described as ”act of gross misconduct’’ assault of a corps member by one of its officers who was caught in a now-viral video. The female officer could be seen in the video pouring water on the corps member after mandating her to kneel before her. Unknown gunmen have killed two policemen at a checkpoint at Nachi community in Oji River Local Government Area of Enugu State, Wednesday, September 22. The gunmen attacked the officers at about 9 a.m., leaving three other officers with serious injuries. The officers were said to have died on the spot from the bullet wounds sustained during the attack.
