Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt has sentenced a 39-year-old pastor, to life imprisonment for defiling a 14-year-old girl.  Justice Aniele, who is a pastor with the Assemblies of God, raped the girl, an orphan who was under his care and got her pregnant.  The incident happened on December 11, 2017, at Amaji community in Omuma Local Government Area of Rivers state where he worked as a pastor. Amid lingering supply disruptions, Libya has overtaken Nigeria as Africa’s top oil producer as the country’s crude oil production slumped last month. In a new report by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), Nigeria’s oil output fell to about 1.23 million barrels per day in October from about 1.25 million bpd in the previous month. The Ontario government says it is helping to build tiny houses for homeless veterans. To this end, the province is investing $2 million in the Kingston-based project, and Housing Minister Steve Clark issued a special zoning order Wednesday allowing the site to be used for residential purposes without a long wait time. Ontario says an-acre-and-a-half of land will be transformed into a “Veterans Village” in Kingston, complete with as many as 25 tiny, prefabricated homes. The head of the British military has admitted that western forces did not have “insight and understanding” of Afghanistan before invading the country.
