Nigerian government has stated its readiness to appeal the judgment of an Oyo State High Court which awarded N20 billion damages to Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho. The Yoruba Nation agitator had sued Directorate of State Security (DSS) following the invasion of his home by the security agency at about 1:30 am on July 1, 2021. Nigeria’s public debt stock stood at N35.465 trillion as at June 30, Director-General of the Debt Management Office, DMO, Ms. Patience Oniha, stated Wednesday. Total Public Debt comprises the domestic and external debt of the Federal Government, the 36 state governments and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. Nigeria’s total public debt stock was N33.107 trillion or USD87.239 billion, as at March 31, 2021.
