Women account for a smaller proportion of COVID-19 infections and deaths than men, a preliminary analysis by the World Health Organisation (WHO) in 28 African countries shows. The family of a 16-year-old girl gang-raped by three men in Eyoabasi community, Oron Local Government Area of the state is unhappy with Akwa Ibom Police Command over what is seen as poor handling of the matter.
