More than 50 people have been allegedly kidnapped by bandits following a recent attack on Bassa community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State. The bandits reportedly stormed the community in large numbers on motorcycles in the early hours of Thursday January 28, just as people were getting set for the day’s activities. The Ogun State Government has released N85.5 million grant to local government councils and Community Development Associations, CDAs for execution of development projects across the state. The state Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperatives, Ganiyu Hamzat stated this during a four-day programme organised by the Ministry for the 2020 disbursement of gran -in- aid to Community Development Associations held recently in Abeokuta.
