As a way of containing the activities of killer Fulani herdsmen, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has deployed 200 officers of the Western Nigeria Security Network codenamed Amotekun to Ibarapa and Oke Ogun zones. So far, 296,032 persons have benefitted from the Federal Government’s N75 billion under Payroll Support Scheme. The payroll support scheme is designed to assist vulnerable micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by paying the salaries of their staff for a period of three months. Under the scheme, 242,746 youths or 82 per cent benefitted while 53,246 other persons or 18 per cent got it. Plans are afoot to build 325 houses for communities in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State displaced by flood in 2018. The housing scheme located in Farun Maje community comprises schools, clinics, shops, security outposts, mosques and other basic social amenities. COVID-19-ridden situation lifted Microsoft’s latest revenues and earnings above expectations in the final quarter of last year, according to figures released on Tuesday. Suspected herdsmen have wrecked havocs in a multi-million-naira maize farm owned by members of the Maize Growers Processing Marketer Association of Nigeria (MAGPAMAN) in Ekiti state.
