An Akwa Ibom son has been appointed as a sole administrator of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). He is Effiong Okon Akwa who hails from Okobo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State replaces Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, the acting Managing Director of the commission. In an effort to rid Akwa Ibom State of fake and expired drugs, Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria publicly burnt the drugs worth N18,675,850 on Friday. The PSN Chairman, Akwa Ibom State, Dr. Akwaowo Akpabio, said the body would not tolerate expired drugs within the reach of citizens in the state. The telecoms operators (Telcos) have assured to obey the directive of Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as ordered by the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Ibrahim Pantami. NCC had on Wednesday directed all telecoms operators to immediately suspend further sale and activation of SIM cards.
