Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has reported six deaths and 675 confirmed new COVID-19 cases in the country. Of the new cases, Federal Capital Territory recorded 183 cases, Lagos, 128 and Kaduna, 85 on Thursday. Like yams, two women were roasted to their bones by angry mob over allegation of their involvement in child kidnapping in Iwo, Osun State on Thursday, December 10. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Wednesday, pledged to commit additional $250 million for e research, development and equitable delivery of life-saving tools in the global effort against COVID-19. The funds will, among others, help Nigeria and other low and middle-income countries in their quest to gain access to vaccines, following fears that wealthier countries may be buying up most of the supplies.
