A total of 30 suspected hoodlums have been arrested by Special Military Task Force, Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) for vandalising and looting valuables at the Jos residence of former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr Yakubu Dogara. Three major television stations in Nigeria have been sanctioned by the National Broadcasting Station (NBC). The acting Director-General of the commission, Armstrong Idachaba who made the announcement on Monday, October 26 alleged that the Africa Independent Television (AIT), Arise Television and Channels Television violated the broadcast code by using unverifiable online video footages on social media.
