Ondo State Governor and candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, Rotimi Akeredolu, has won the October 9, 2020 governorship for a second term. Akeredolu defeated his major contenders the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Mr Eyitayo Jegede, and Hon Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, with about 99,000 votes in 15 local government areas in the state. For a second time in two years, Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) has been dissolved by the police authority. The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu announced the dissolution Sunday at a press conference in Abuja. Pakistan’s telecom regulator has banned TikTok, claiming the app failed to remove “immoral” and “indecent” content. The ban comes just a month after the regulator, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, banned dating apps, including Tinder and Grindr, for the same reason. TikTok had been installed 43 million times in Pakistan, according to the analytics firm Sensor Tower. That made it the app’s 12th largest market in terms of installs.
