Nigeria has recorded 195 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. Stating this in its latest update on Monday night, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the new cases were recorded in Lagos, FCT and nine other states. While Lagos reported 39 cases, FCT recorded 15 fresh infections respectively. Others include Enugu – 51, Gombe – 40, Plateau – 23, Rivers – 12, Kaduna –8, Ondo – 3, Bauchi – 2, Edo and Ogun each reporting 1 case. Countless sympathizers graced the funeral prayers of the late Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris at his palace in Zaria, Kaduna State. Idris, who ascended the throne in 1975, spent 45 years as the 18th Fulani Emir of Zazzau, one of the longest reigns in Northern Nigeria. He was both the Chairman of the Zazzau Emirate Council and the Kaduna State Emirate Council. He was buried inside the palace near the graves of his predecessors.
