Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) says it has confirmed 113 new COVID-19 Infections in the country. In its Twitter handle on Tuesday night, NCDC said the cases are reported in 12 states with Lagos leading with 51 cases. Other states are FCT-15, Plateau-11, Kaduna-8, Oyo-8, Rivers-8, Ogun-4, Edo-2, Imo-2, Kwara-2, Delta-1 and Kano-1. The Federal Government has declared Thursday, October 29 as Public Holiday to mark this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, the Islamic festival commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Akwa Ibom State Nigeria Labour Congress has given the state government a 14-day ultimatum beginning Tuesday, October 27, saying failure of the government to accede to these demands will compel the congress to embark on an indefinite strike.
