Security dogs’ meal is more expensive than that of prison inmates in the country, the Nigeria Correctional Service said. NCS stated that while inmates are fed with N750 daily, security dogs get an N800 daily feeding allowance. The Controller General of the NCS, Haliru Nababa, stated this on Thursday at a joint National Assembly Committee on Interior. Two females among the abducted prospective National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members have secured freedom. Straightnews reported that the prospective corps members were kidnapped in Zamfara State on their way to the orientation camp in Sokoto State four months ago. A dismissed soldier, Lance Corporal John Gabriel, was sentenced to die by hanging for killing an Islamic cleric, Sheikh Goni Aisami. The Yobe State High Court in Potiskum sentenced Lance Corporal Adamu Gideon, an accomplice in the murder, to 10 years’ imprisonment.
