    Plateau Killings: Buhari Meets With 2 National Assembly Leaders

    President Muhammadu Buhari, National Assembly, Aso Rock-Abuja, Plateau State killings, Dr. Bukola Saraki- Senate President,Yakubu Dogara-Speaker- House of Representatives, Federal Executive Council

     

    President Muhammadu Buhari, Wednesday morning, met with two principal officers of the National Assembly at Aso Rock, Abuja to discuss on the security situation over the Plateau State killings.

     

    The President met with Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senate President and Yakubu Dogara, Speaker, House of Representatives before the commencement of Federal Executive Council meeting today.

     

    In a Twitter handle from the presidency and liked by Saraki one hour ago, the meeting was at the instance of the principal officers. The trajedy that took place on Saturday and Sunday with some reprisal attacks has consumed more than 200 persons.

     

    Buhari, Tuesday, visited Plateau State and condoled with the government and people of the state over the sad incident, warning against escalation of the crisis.

     

    Meanwhile, President Buhari has pledged ro re-organise the security apparatus in lieu of the spate of killings in the country.

    Addressing state house correspondents few minutes ago, Yakubu Dogara was quoted as disclosing this after the closed-door the President had with him and the Senate President, Saraki.
