    How Gov Eno, others Adored Unyime Idem on his birthday

    Social media were flooded with tributes on the member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem, on his birthday.

    Akwa Ibom Governor, friends, relations and constituents adored Idem with hearty congratulations as he quietly observed his birthday on Sunday.

    Since his swearing into the Green chambers in May 2019, he had put smiles on the faces of 5,000 constituents in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency.

    The two-term legislator has so far sponsored 22 bills and 28 motions and executed 52 projects and programmes in his constituency.

    At the event was held on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at the NAF Conference Centre and Suites, Ahmadu Bello Way, Jabi, Abuja, the lawmaker, Rep. Idem was honoured as the Most Valuable Parliamentarian, MVP, for sponsoring the highest number of motions in the 9th House of Representatives.

    Consequently, the Ukanafun-born parliamentarian was presented with a Certificate of Valuable Parliamentary Performance in recognition of his achievement in sponsorship of Valuable and Impact-oriented motions in the 9th House of Representatives.

    As new birthday package, Akwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, joined others in felicitating him.

    In a message by his Chief Press Secretary, Ekerete Udoh, Governor Eno saluted the lawmaker for being a, “symbol of effective representation, who has brought governance closer to his constituents through regular empowerment schemes.

    “I am happy to call you my friend and I treasure your support.

    “I know I can always count on you to join me in our task of deepening and expanding our growth and development.

    ‘‘Once again, Happy birthday my dear Brother!’’

    In his message, Elder Godwin Sunday Ekpe, Chairman, Transition Committee, Ukanafun Local Government Area ‘‘On behalf of my family and the good people of Ukanafun Local Government Area, I extend heartfelt felicitations to you, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem. I am immensely grateful to God for showering His blessings upon you, allowing you to be in good health and witness this significant day.

    ‘‘I commend your outstanding representation, which has effectively bridged the gap between governance and the constituents through consistent empowerment initiatives. I sincerely hope that you will continue your selfless work and unwavering support for society and humanity.

    ‘‘I share in your joy and express gratitude to God for granting you the grace and privilege to dedicate your life to the service of humanity. May you persist in your efforts for the progress and improvement of Ukanafun, Akwa Ibom State, and Nigeria as a whole.

    ‘‘May this extraordinary day overflow with happiness, love, and blessings as you celebrate yet another remarkable year of life. Your unwavering dedication and commitment in serving your constituents are commendable, and I pray for your continued success in all your future endeavours.’’

    A Professor in the Department of Environmental Biology, Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH), Calabar, George Iniodu, who identified himself with him too, wrote ‘‘Best wishes to a pragmatic representative. Happy birthday… we are proud of this gentleman.’’

    Elder Idongesit Udom, the proprietor of Sure Foundation Polytechnic, Ikot Akai in Ukanafun wrote ‘‘Happy birthday my  MP Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem.

    ‘‘The Almighty God will continue to preserve you, honour you, favour you and bless you with sound health, happiness and long life in Jesus mighty name, Amen.

    ‘‘Congratulations Sir!’’

    Imoh Eme, a former International President of Ati Annang, said ‘‘Happy birthday our amiable and most delectable MP, the pride of Ukanafun and Oruk Anam LGAS. God bless your new age.

    Obong Samuel Akpan, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of AKROSAMIC investment Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria penned ‘‘Happy birthday our erudite MP. May the good Lord continue to straighten you and may His face shine upon you and give you peace in Jesus name…… Amen.’’

    Vincent Aluu, a journalist and public Affairs analyst wrote ‘‘Best wishes to my Boss, Leader and Benefactor, who inspires, develops, empowers, motivates and supports.

    ‘‘Best wishes to the Member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency and Chairman Procurement Committee of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Unyime Idem
