A member representing Akwa Ibom North-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Bassey Albert Akpan has admitted that he contacted the dreaded COVID-19 in July 2020.
Akpan popularly known as OBA who testified this on Sunday, January 3 at Full Life Christian Church, Uyo in Akwa Ibom State said that he was healed after 14 days.
The Senator who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum Resources Upstream in the Red Chambers said the 14-day journey of the affliction began on July 14, 2020 and ended on July 28, last year.
According to him, only his wife knew about the problem and thanked God for His mercies in healing and preserving his life within the trying time.
OBA used the opportunity to thank God for His grace and help to him and his family throughout 2020, trusting more for His continuous deliverance to them in 2021 and beyond.
