    Ibom Air Kisses Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo Again

    More airports across the country have resumed flight operations after about three months of shutdown following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.

    According to the resumption schedule from the Ministry of Aviation, the airports in Akwa Ibom, Edo, Kwara, and Kaduna, among others reopened on Wednesday.

    Last week, flight operations resumed at the airports in Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Port Harcourt, and Maiduguri and Owerri airports.

    Ibom Air is one of the luckiest airlines to have been given a clean bill of health to resume and the airline kissed Victor Attah International Airport, Uyo on Wednesday, July 15 after several months.

    At the airport in Uyo, passengers were seen wearing face masks, observing social distancing and adhering to other COVID-19 protocols.

    From the Ibom Airport Facebook “#Throwback: 2 weeks ago, on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, the NCAA inspection team flew into Akwa Ibom on Ibom Air for a test run of Victor Attah International Airport’s Post COVID-19 Arrival & Departure Protocols.

    “The 14-man team, included the Team Lead, Asst Team Lead, Aerodrome, Air Navigation, AVSEC, Air Transport Regulation, Consumer Protection & Fire Inspectors. We are thankful for a successful test run & are eagerly looking forward to the reopening of Victor Attah International Airport tomorrow, July 15, 2020.

    Recall that Ibom Air ook delivery of the airline’s fourth Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft in Lagos. The aircraft arrived Lagos from Calgary, Canada at 10:48 pm local time, Tuesday evening (05 May, 2020).

    According to the Facebook, “Ibom Air flights between Uyo & Abuja and Uyo & Lagos resume tomorrow, July 15, 2020. Have you booked your ticket yet? Visit www.ibomair.com to book in advance.

    “With great excitement, we announce Ibom Air’s newest destination, the Paradise city of Calabar!

    “Beginning from Monday the 20th of July 2020, Ibom Air will fly from Lagos and Abuja to & from Calabar daily, bringing our trademark schedule reliability, on-time departures and superior service to our customers on this route!

    “At Ibom Air, we are totally driven by the desire to bring pleasure and pleasantness back into flying. That’s why we are pleased to be able to offer our Calabar-bound passengers the experience of air travel in comfort, convenience and style!
