Leke Adeboye who is one of the sons of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has used the scripture to console himself over the demise of his brother, Dare.

Pastor Dare died in his sleep on Wednesday night May 5 in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, where he is based with his family.

Leke in his reaction on his official Instagram page posted a scripture from the Bible on the death of the righteous.

The scripture reads “The righteous man perishes (at the hand of evil), and no one takes it to heart, Faithful and devout men are taken away, while no one understands. That the righteous person is taken away (to be spared) from evil and disaster.’’

He also shared throwback photos of himself and his brother with their other siblings.

Dare died at the age of 42 and would have turned 43 next month June 9, 2021.

He was a life coach, visionary leader, motivator, bridge builder and the first son of Baba Adeboye.

According to reports, Dare officiated service on Sunday, May 2, and showed no sign of being ill.

He retired, according to an unconfirmed report, to his bedroom on Wednesday and asked not to be disturbed.

When his wife Temiloluwa Adeboye noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reach him on phone, she raised alarm and he was discovered dead.

Pastors in the church were called to pray for him, all to no avail.

The younger Adeboye was neither sick nor on medication when the tragic incident happened.

Meanwhile, RGCC, in the statement, asked that the family be granted privacy.

”It is with a deep and heartfelt sense of loss, we announce the departure of our beloved son, brother, husband and father, Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye. Who went to be with the Lord on the 4th of May, 2021.

”His life was well lived as he served the Lord without reserve, giving effortlessly and leading fearlessly. He was crowned by the Lord with blessings of 3 seeds and a beautiful wife.

”Though shaken, our anchor remains Jesus Christ in whom we have the assurance that we will one day meet in a place where there is no pain.

”It is the wish of the family to be granted privacy at this moment and that prayers be offered on their behalf.

    Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, June 9th 1978 – May 4th 2021.
Remain forever in our hearts,” the church stated.
