Popular Nigerian preacher, Rev. Patrick Grace Henry of Grace Family Outreach has alleged that many people have been initiated into Freemason in Akwa Ibom State government.
In a viral video seen by Straightnews, Edet in a sermon in the church located along Goshen Avenue, Nwaniba Road, Uyo, said this has been done under the administration of Udom Emmanuel who is a Christian governor.
Freemasonry, according to Wikipedia, is a secret organization whose teachings and practices of the fraternal (men-only) order of Free and Accepted Masons, the largest worldwide secret society—an oath-bound society, often devoted to fellowship, moral discipline, and mutual assistance, that conceals at least some of its rituals, customs, or activities from the public (secret societies do not necessarily conceal their membership or existence).
”Spread by the advance of the British Empire, Freemasonry remains most popular in the British Isles and in other countries originally within the empire. Estimates of the worldwide membership of Freemasonry in the early 21st century ranged from about two million to more than six million.’’

The fiery preacher noted ”What took me to this was the history of mystery. You need to understand the mystery of the flesh, your life changes. It is not every preacher you must listen to.
”You cannot be deceived because your life will become an evidence. People around you will say this is not the man I used to know. Your wife will witness and your husband will witness. People around you will say you have joined something.
According to him, ”Once somebody joins occult or one secret occult or the other, it means the person has entered into a particular place. He is not supposed to talk about it. His life has changed.
”Those who used to be generous will no longer be generous ordinarily. For them to be generous with you, they must take you to that altar. That means your generosity will serve Satan. Anyone you give to must pay Satan one way or the other.”
The former Catholic Church priest noted ”That is what is happening in government even in Akwa Ibom State with the Christian governor who calls the name of God. Many people have been initiated into Freemason in Akwa Ibom now more than any other time.
”People don’t talk about this. But this is the truth. This is the truth now in Akwa Ibom State with even the Christian governor on top of it. So, it is no longer shooting guns but shooting the souls.”
Edet who marked his 53rd birthday on Wednesday, March 30 declared ”That is why one of those days I told you that if men- those who preach the gospel would not detach themselves from politics and become prophets over politics- overseers of God’s righteousness, the Church will become absolutely useless and irrelevant.
”Udom needs someone who will tell him something he cannot sleep in the night. All those surrounding him mean nothing and they are doomed for destruction. To be a Christian, you must pay a price. You must know the difference between darkness and light,’’ the father of two, enraged by the avalanche of masons in the state government, said.
Recall that Governor Udom Emmanuel signed into law the Cultism and Other Violent Behaviour (Prohibition) Order, 2020 for the state, proscribing 65 cult groups in the state, with effect from March 16, 2020, though enforcement has remained hydra-headed.
However, Osondu Ahirika in rejoining the sermon wrote ”In a video that has gone viral, the Rev. Patrick Henry Edet of Grace Family has seemingly called out Governor Udom Emmanuel over alleged prevalence of members of Freemason in his administration.”
Ahirika who is also a clergyman noted ”One cannot but infer the deep sarcasm and mockery in Rev. Henry’s choice of diction. Governor Emmanuel is haplessly harassed as the ‘Whipping Boy’ for people joining Freemason.”
