A new Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Akwa Ibom Command, Mr. Francis Ajatta, has resumed official duty in the state.

This follows the promotion and subsequent posting of the immediate past Sector Commander, ACM Edward Odiete.

Ajatta, the new Corps Commander, is from Lagos State. A graduate of University of Port Harcourt, he holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from University  of Benin (UNIBEN).

Ajatta is also a Chartered Member of Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.

A press release issued by Paul O. James, SRC (Public Enlightenment) and sent to Straightnews online in Uyo on June 18 said until his appointment as Sector Commander, Ajatta was Corps Commander, Federal Operations, Operations Department, Abuja.

The release said he had served as Unit Commander, Operations Commander and CC Manpower Development in Training Department, National Headquarters.

‘‘The redeployment is intended to strengthen activities of the Corps for enhanced performance and efficiency in Road Traffic Management and Safety Administration in the state,’’ it stated.

In his farewell address, the immediate past Sector Commander, ACM Edward Odiete, , appreciated the State Government and the good people of Akwa Ibom for the cooperation and support he enjoyed during his stay in the state.

He, therefore, enjoined all to extend the same hand of fellowship to his successor – Corps Commander Francis Ajatta.
