Greenwich London Council has reportedly fined Nigerian singer, Davido £340,000 (N190 million) for his just-concluded sold out show at O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom.

Greenwich London Borough Council is the local authority for the Royal Borough of Greenwich in Greater London, England.

A social media influencer based in London, Marvin Abbey who stated this on his Twitter page, explained that the singer was supposed to end his concert at 11pm, but he overshot the time.

Marvin wrote: “Davido was supposed to finish his concert at the O2 @ 11pm. The O2 have a strict 11pm curfew. For every minute you go past 11pm you have to pay £10,000. Davido said he don’t care. He finished the concert at 23:34. That’s £340,000 fine. Mental!

Reacting to those doubting his claim, Marvin added: “For all the people saying I’m lying about the Davido tweet . The O2 curfew is nothing new. Read up on it, I don’t have time to argue. The Rolling Stones & Justin Bieber have also been fined in the past. It’s actually Greenwich council that issue the fine.”

Recall that Davido’s aide had lamented bitterly on social media after the UK embassy allegedly denied his visa to attend the singer’s show at O2 Arena in London.
