The gruesome m8rder of a 38-year-old woman, Victoria Okoh by her husband in Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has drawn the ire of many people.

The suspect, Victor Okoh, said to be a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) brutally butchered his wife over suspected infidelity.

Straightnews had reported that the 42-year-old Victor, a resident of Effiong Essang Street in Oron Local Government Area of the state had locked in the wife and dealt several matchete cuts on her Monday at about 5.30 a.m.

The deceased shouts, according to eye witness, attracted neighbours who tried but could not open the door forcing them to invite police in the area who came and broke the open to behold a lifeless but mutilated body lying in a pool of blood.

The Nollywood filmmaker, Aniebiet Francis from Akwa Ibom filmmaker, wrote in the Facebook,  “Dear woman, marry right!!!! Marry your tribe!!!! Any man that beats you will k*ll you someday.”

Victor Onyedi, a Facebook commentator wrote too, ‘’Pastor Victor Okoh of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Oron Akwa Ibom has butchered his wife Victoria.

The pastor was at the pulpit yesterday preaching.

    What exactly was he preaching?

    That’s the question, I’m asking?

Why can’t he forgive his wife?

He committed this dastardly act in the morning.

Which implies is not up 24 hours after spreading the gospel in the sanctuary.

He used a sharpened machete to k!ll his wife

To show he has predetermined his action.

    He locked up the protector.

To prevent the women from escaping.

    Should we call it anger?

    Should we call it temptation?

Should we call it a spiritual attack?

    Should we blame the devil?

    We are waiting

But we are calling for justice’’

The state Commissioner for Police, Buba Azare visited the scene on Monday, March 10 had confirmed that the police command had arrested and detained suspect waiting for trial by a competent of jurisdiction.
