    Sen Enang Lands at Berlin to Assume Office as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany

    … pledges to strengthen Nigeria-Germany ties

    Senator Ita Enang has landed at Berlin to assume office as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.

    Enang, who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Rosemary, was received at the airport by a high-powered delegation comprising officials of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to Germany representing the African Group of Ambassadors in Berlin, and senior officers of the Nigerian Embassy in Germany.

    Addressing Embassy staffers and members of the Nigerian Community in Germany at the historic Hotel Bristol, Berlin, Ambassador Enang pledged to strengthen Nigeria-Germany ties.

    Enang, who was a former Senior Special Assistant to former President on Niger Delta Affairs and ex-Senator for Akwa Ibom North-East, expressed thanks to President Bola Tinubu, for appointing him and for the confidence reposed in him.

    He also thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu; the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye; Directors and staffers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their guidance and support in facilitating his posting.

    “As I settle down to work, I pray ‘grace upon grace’ for our colleagues still on the cue, that God will grant them divine speed,” he said.

    Senator Enang is expected to focus on deepening economic, trade, educational, and cultural cooperation between Nigeria and Germany during his tour of duty.

    He is expected to present his Letters of Credence to the German President, Frank-Walter Steinmeier before he assumes office.
