The Senior Special Assistant to the state Governor on Christian Youths, Apostle Samuel Inyang, says the concluded Akwa Ibom Unity Concert 2026 re-awakened ‘Christ consciousness’ in the state governance.
For many who gathered at the International Christian Worship Centre, Uyo for the the programme on Monday, 6 April, the evening transcended mere performance, unfolding a landmark moment of communal faith and a powerful catalyst for spiritual and social renewal.
Appearing on ARISE Update on Radio programme, Apostle Inyang reflected on the profound impact of the event, saying that the concert on the theme: Talitha Cumi (Little Girl, Arise), saying that it was a “spiritually transformative experience” that fostered a palpable sense of hope and collective joy among attendees.
Apostle Inyang noted that the concert was a strategic extension of Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda, explaining that the administration’s focus on human capital development is intrinsically linked to fostering moral values and unity.
“We are witnessing the emergence of a ‘Christ consciousness’ in our governance,” Inyang remarked. “This is a leadership rooted in integrity, compassion, justice, and accountability, which resonates deeply with the aspirations of our people.”
He observed that the massive turnout signaled a deep-seated desire for spiritual engagement within the state, while highlighting the following key outcomes of the gathering: Youth Engagement: Providing a constructive platform for positive expression and creative talent.
Social Cohesion: Strengthening community bonds by bridging generational gaps through shared worship.
Moral Reorientation: Using faith-based gatherings as a tool for societal stability and ethical renewal.
Responding to enquiries regarding government involvement in religious activities, he maintained that the dividends of such events, namely, peace, unity, and social order are indispensable to the state’s development. He argued that a morally grounded citizenry is the bedrock of any successful economic or political framework.
Apostle Inyang urged Akwa Ibomites to lean on their faith during periods of global uncertainty. He called for calm and perseverance, reminding the public that the state remains anchored in a higher purpose.
As the echoes of the Akwa Ibom Unity Concert 2026 continue to resonate, it is clear that the event was more than a celebration, it was a definitive step toward a more united, purposeful, and spiritually vibrant Akwa Ibom.
Recall thatAkwa Ibom Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, reiterated his commitment to fostering unity and peace by building a “United State of Akwa Ibom.”
Speaking at the Easter Unity Concert, the Governor called on all citizens to be intentional about sustaining the peace and unity in the State.
He specifically, appreciated the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), for coming together to present a song at the concert.

“For us in Akwa Ibom, we will continue to run under the banner of a ‘United States of Akwa Ibom. We will continue to work together. We will continue to march together forward, as the Lord leads us on. That’s why I specially thank IPAC for always demonstrating that this is about our State, and we all have a stake in the project Akwa Ibom,” he said.
Speaking on the Easter celebration, Governor Eno said the resurrection is the restoration of hope, and called on Nigerians to keep hope alive as a greater future beckons.
He noted that though things may not be exactly as expected currently, “I see light at the end of the tunnel. I see goodness coming out of Nigeria. It is well with Nigeria and it is well with our leaders. We must keep hope alive because the resurrection is the restoration of hope. We must keep hope alive that it shall be well, and it is well.
“Let’s not join the nay sayers to say that there is nothing good about us, there is something good about Nigeria,” he added.
He said the Unity Concert brings together every ministry, department and agencies of government to praise God whom he said has been the source of every success recorded by his administration.
Earlier in his exhortation, the State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Bishop Christian Nyong, preaching on the theme; Talitha cumi, had said that for every believer, the resurrection brings hope of life and to every aspect of life that was dead.
The concert featured session of praises, choir ministrations, and a Bible reading by the Coordinator of the Office of the First Lady, Lady Helen Eno Obareki.
