US Rapper Diddy has debuted as the second-richest hip-hop star, replacing Kanye West on the list of 2022’s wealthiest hip-hop artists.
The 52-year-old rapper and record producer is now officially declared a billionaire, with his net worth estimated at $1 billion.
Diddy’s surge into the billionaires club comes courtesy of years of investments and valuable assets, including his Ciroc partnership with Diageo which draws in $60 million annually.

The musician-turned-entrepreneur also benefits from his partial ownership of DeLeon tequila and Revolt, the media network launched in 2013 for which Diddy is a majority shareholder.
Jay-Z tops club
The list is topped by Jay-Z, who has a net worth of $1.5 billion.
Jay-Z continues his reign as hip-hop’s richest artist with a net worth of $1.5 billon, still riding the high since he became the genre’s first billionaire in 2019.
Diddy is one of the five richest acts in hip-hop amassing a combined wealth of $3.8 billion, according to Forbes.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, who replaces his former collaborator Kanye West with a net worth of $1 billion after the latter’s string of anti-Semitic and anti-Black comments muddled his business deals to the point where his total wealth dropped from a reported $2 billion to around $500 million.
Kanye is now at the third spot on the list with a net worth of $500 million. Berner and Dr. Dre occupy the last two spots in the ranking with an estimated wealth of $410 million and $400 million, respectively.
The rapper apparently lost $1.5 billion last week after Adidas decided to part ways with him over his frequent anti-Semitic statements. The brand pulled the plug on its deal with Ye’s apparel brand on October 25.

Seemingly unbothered — as if he had a choice — the rapper returned to Instagram after a days-long ban to declare: “I lost 2 billion dollars in one day and I’m still alive … The money is not who I am. The people is who I am.”
The remaining of Kanye’s wealth now comes from his 5% stake in SKIMS, his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s shape-wear brand, and through his earnings from his music career and real estate holdings.
West queries unknown powers
Meanwhile, Kanye West has questioned why ‘unknown powers are trying to destroy his life’ while reacting to being dropped by multiple brands over his anti-Semitic comments.
The rapper took to Twitter to declare war on the Jewish community following his controversial Paris Fashion Week show, where he showcased his White Lives Matter shirts.
